How long will it take for my devices to transmit then detect a LISNR Radius Tone?

Depending on the chosen Tone Profile and payload size of your transmission, your detection rates will vary. Throughput of Standard2 profile is 33.3 bits/second, 66.6 bits/second (wideband). Throughput of PKAB2 profile is 1000 bits/second, 2000 bits/second (wideband). To read more about the different tone profiles, check out this article.

For example, a Standard2 Tone (wideband) with a payload of 6 bytes will transmit in 1.7 seconds. A PKAB2 Tone with a payload of 6 bytes will transmit in 0.43 seconds.

To determine the transmission time of your tone payload, check out the Tone Speed Calculator located in the LISNR Portal or contact cs@lisnr.com.
