Microphone permissions must be granted by the end user when they are receiving tones. On mobile and web platforms this will specifically prompt the user to accept or deny permissions. If permissions are not accepted, the LISNR SDK will not be able to receive or transceive (simultaneously transmit and receive) tones.

No permissions are required in order for a device to broadcast tones only.
